In this workshop we will cover the basics to simple fermenting. Guest speaker Rachel Murray, Register Holistic Nutritionist will be co-hosting this workshop. In this class we will talk about the health benefits of adding fermented foods into our diet. We will discuss storing, proper methods and safety when fermenting. Workshop involves a combination of instruction, hands on activity and recipes to take home. All guests will prepare three different recipes using different methods of fermenting. Canning Tomatoes Wednesday August 14th : ONLY 6 SPACES REMAINING! 6:30 - 9:30 pm
In this workshop we will focus on canning the bounty of your tomato patch. We will make a tomato sauce, salsa and crushed tomatoes. At the end of this workshop you will go home with a jar of each product as well as the recipe and know how to can all of your tomatoes for the winter months!
